Biographical Information

What do you see as the greatest challenges facing Maine right now?

How will you encourage greater civic engagement among your constituents?

What will you do to address the need for affordable housing?

Is there anything else you'd like voters to know about you?

I see housing, healthcare, workforce, climate change and infrastructure as some of Maine's greatest challenges.
My constituents are increasingly referring to HD 136 as a bedroom community. This translates to people commuting 30+ minutes to work each day and back before getting home, tending to their families and/or needs, and doing it all over the next day with little time in between. There's also a lack of civic infrastructure. Even for those constituents that would like to be active or at least knowledgeable in local government are at a disadvantage because information is hard to come by. My first step in encouraging greater civic engagement would be to get our municipalities to be proactive in providing information in a timely manner or at all. I would also appreciate opportunities to meet with constituents to bring their voice forward.
I support increased funding. More specifically, I support pathways toward rural housing solutions and rehabilitation of old homes and structures into apartments. I also support Accessory Dwelling Unit-friendly legislation.
I have been a resident of Waterboro for almost a decade where I live with my husband and children. We love our space in the woods where we can explore during the day and stargaze at night. I've also worked at Kennebunk Free Library for eight years, serving six of those years as Director. I am a practical leader and thinker experienced in facilitating difficult conversations including those across the aisle. I like to create workplaces where employees can thrive and public spaces that meet people where they're at.
