The state must work with counties to lower property taxes, and we must allow for flexible zoning and reduce permitting fees.
The initiative and referendum process is a basic Constitutional right to petition your government, and I support it. Our state motto is Under God the People Rule.
Every South Dakota resident's right to vote is protected, if there are any issues I will help file a complaint with any voter. The current way we do elections with tabulators must be improved in the areas of security and transparency, otherwise we must return to bi-partisan hand counting in public.
The state should lower administrative requirements, that take dollars away from the front-line nurses and health providers. The state should also look at more flexible facilities as well as encourage more minute clinic developments. The state should encourage discounts to workman's compensation insurance and invest in preventative workforce care and healthy living.
The fast-rising costs of farm equipment and property taxes are crushing family farms, as we lose our critical family farms, it will cause serious price increases in our food. K-12 Education needs to expand to include flexible school choice so that parents can have the best options for their families. We must reward good quality teachers and at the same time shore up the pipeline of quality educators.
