1. Tackling our affordable housing crisis and addressing the root causes of poverty so all working families can succeed 2. I have increased affordable housing and reduced homelessness by launching the Encampment Management Program which is a multidisciplinary temporary program launched in 2021 in response to an increase in unsheltered homelessness across Washington County. Additionally, I have reduced traffic and increased road safety by championing Allen Boulevard Complete Street Plan to be included in the 2025-27 cycle of Regional Flexible Funding project.
I was elected to the Washington County Commission to represent District 1 in 2020. I bring a background in public health, both in county government and with the American Red Cross, and as a small business owner. Along with my work with affordable housing and road safety, my platform on improving community health has led me to author and introduce an Amendment to invest $8.9 Million of ARPA funds into community resilience.
During my time as Commissioner, I have worked to increase affordable housing options and reduce homelessness. While working for Washington County, 1,266 affordable housing units have been completed or are under construction. I believe it is the responsibility of the County to play an active role in addressing the supply of housing in the region.

I have been in sales for the majority of my career. This professional position has given me the skills to work with a wide variety of people to achieve a positive outcome. I have been a small business owner and entrepreneur in the past and understand how a business should work to be successful. I have also been a single parent and have dealt with drug addiction and homelessness within my own family. I am compassionate on the issues but also know firsthand what it takes to get people going in the right direction. My experiences are diverse and give me a unique perspective on many issues that are happening in Washington County
The county needs to take the lead in working with Metro to make more land available to build, with more inventory prices will come down and more people can afford and be housed. These decisions have to balance with infrastructure needs and financing while maintaining farm lands in rural areas
