City of Pendleton Councilor Ward 1

The members of a City Council supervise the city departments, either directly or through a city manager or administrator. City Councilors pass laws, set policy, decide which services will be provided, and develop budgets; they negotiate work contracts and make hiring and firing decisions. An elective city officer must be a qualified elector under the state constitution who has resided in the city for at least 1 year before being elected.In Pendleton, the Mayor and 1 City Councilor are elected at large, while the other City Councilors are elected by districts known as wards. They serve for a 4-year term and are elected on a nonpartisan basis.

I have also served on a number of Pendleton City Commissions including Airport, Library, Arts, and Historical Preservation. Umatilla Co. Special Library District Board Member 2017-Present
