Your Experience/Qualifications 29 years serving Tillamook County in Public Safety
1. Lack of workforce and middle-income housing - I would remove barriers and provide incentives to individuals, planners and builders to increase housing for our working families. 2. Lack of stable, alternative funding streams - I have solutions to leverage the visitor industry and other sources, to help stop the "boom and bust" economy the county has been struggling with for decades. 3. Lack of infrastructure investment - Tillamook County's infrastructure needs serious attention. I have solutions that will allow us to build and repair our failing infrastructure.
I have worked for Tillamook County for more than 20 years. In that time I formed many friendships and working partnerships with people from nearly every corner of our local government, and also those in the private and non-profit segments. I am a creative problem solver and believe that we have a rich county - rich in natural resources, professional talent and natural beauty, and I'm confident that I can lead Tillamook County into the future.
The county has a responsibility to build the infrastructure necessary to support our growing housing needs. I have solutions that will facilitate the building/improving of sewer and water systems to fulfill the needs and requirements of our middle-income and workforce housing crisis.
