Gilliam County Judge

A County Judge serves mainly as the chair of the Board of Commissioners, the governing body that manages County services and supervises County departments, as well as developing the budget. The County Judge additionally holds some part-time judicial responsibilities, with jurisdiction over juvenile and probate cases. To be eligible to run for County Judge, a person must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years of age, and a registered voter who has been resident in the County for at least 1 year prior to the election.Term: 4 years. This position is nonpartisan.
