One issue that I believe should be addressed in the 2025 legislative session is housing for all. When Medford residents have worked hard, have saved money, and have a stable income, they should be able to purchase homes. That's not always possible right now.
Our legislature needs to provide adequate funding for all of Oregon K-12 public schools. We have seen many programs like special education and english learners student classes see less funding. When we are able to provide services for people in both of those programs, we can help these learners stay in school and develop personal sense of success for them and families
As the representative for House District 6, I will work to provide more financial support for both high demand skilled trades training and higher education. Examples of existing programs that need more funding include the Oregon Promise program and Oregon Opportunity Grants
