Habitat fo Humanity has been working in this area for many years and is the only current source of low income housing. The only current alternative is mobile homes like those used by FEMA when there are disasters.
I still believe that the initiative process is workable and have used it myself when I was working to get Commissioner Districts set up.
We now have a secretary of state that is dedicated to voter integrity and must require a picture identification of each voter. I would like to also require continuous photographic coverage of all voting. This is now possible. We also have to have police coverage of all high volumn voter areas. Military always had a two person required for security. All votes opening should require both a Republican and Democrat representive present. Once opened all security is lost.
This is the most difficult as cost becomes the primary problem. Hopefully large companies would look into in house childcare that would be tax deductible. Best care vs cost of the number of children per caregiver needs to be regulated.
Education is always the key to success and is number one with class size the big factor. We have limited school choice and a portion of the taxes should follow the student. In my district Ellworth AFB is very important and we need to increase the school size to meet the expected B-21 arrival. There is a building boom currently going on to meet the housing requirements. We must look to the future to meet water requirements with the main possibility being the Missouri River pipeline.
