Description of office: The General Assembly is the legislative branch of government in Pennsylvania. It is composed of two houses: the Senate is the upper house, and the House of Representatives is the lower house. A majority vote in both houses is necessary to pass a law. The PA House of Representatives consists of 203 members representing one district each, with an equal number of constituents. Representatives must be at least 21 years old, have been a citizen and a resident of the state four years and a resident of their respective districts one year before their election, and shall reside in their respective districts during their terms of service. The House develops budget packages, makes taxation decisions, allocates spending, and passes laws (including redistricting in collaboration with the Senate). The House also has the exclusive authority to impeach public officials. Representatives also serve on various policy committees that may propose legislation. Increase Minimum Wage
It’s not possible to raise a family on $7.25 per hour. Even single people cannot feed themselves, pay rent, pay utilities, and save for the future on $7.25 per hour.
As we recover from COVID-19, we need to ensure that workers are getting a fair wage. It is completely unacceptable that our state hasn’t raised the minimum wage in over a decade, even though our neighboring states have.
In 2020, I introduced a bill to raise the minimum wage in Pennsylvania to $15 per hour. As your next representative, I intend to keep fighting to ensure once and for all that no one in our state has to work for poverty wages.
I believe the House Democratic Policy Committee has made significant progress in legislation to protect and expand ballot access, improve transparency, and support poll workers and election officials throughout our Commonwealth.

I believe we need a fair funding formula to fill the $6.2 billion void left by chronic underfunding of our school systems across our Commonwealth. The state has an obligation to ensure equity in our school system, and properly allocate funding to bridge the gap between the haves and the have nots.
I believe, unequivocally, in a woman's right to choose. Any legislation I would support would be to protect that right.
