Description of office: The General Assembly is the legislative branch of government in Pennsylvania. It is composed of two houses: the Senate is the upper house, and the House of Representatives is the lower house. A majority vote in both houses is necessary to pass a law. The PA House of Representatives consists of 203 members representing one district each, with an equal number of constituents. Representatives must be at least 21 years old, have been a citizen and a resident of the state four years and a resident of their respective districts one year before their election, and shall reside in their respective districts during their terms of service. The House develops budget packages, makes taxation decisions, allocates spending, and passes laws (including redistricting in collaboration with the Senate). The House also has the exclusive authority to impeach public officials. Representatives also serve on various policy committees that may propose legislation. As a practicing lawyer and licensed certified public accountant, I will continue to use those legal and financial skills along with my sound judgment to address issues facing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I now have over five years of service in the legislature and a proven track record.
Top issues facing Pennsylvanians include ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare for all, especially access to reproductive healthcare, providing clean and safe drinking water, strengthening and supporting public education, demanding action for gun safety, and protecting our rights when it comes to equality and our precious environment.
I would like to see more opportunities for early voting, better funding of County Election Boards across the Commonwealth, and allowance of pre-canvassing for mail in ballots. Generally, I support any measures that expand access and convenience for voters.
I would support legislation implementing the funding system outlined in the Basic Education Funding Commission report from January 2024.
Abortion healthcare remains safe and legal in Pennsylvania. The only changes I would consider would be ones that expanded reproductive rights and access to abortion healthcare.

With the events of the last couple years it is clear that every state is a border state. Almost 5000 Pennsylvanians died from drug overdose in 2022. 70% of these deaths were due to synthetic opioids, primarily fentanyl. Across our country there were over 107,000 deaths - this is two Viet Nam wars worth of death every year! This is both a tragedy and insane. This should be addressed every day until we find a solution. We must start by securing our border.
We need voter ID.
We must clean our voter roles to ensure that only legal votes are counted and that ineligible people are removed from our voter roles. A illegal vote is an assault on all our votes.
The spending on our Public Schools is out of control. I am very active with the Abington School System and there is absolutely no correlation between the spending in Abington and the education of our kids. It was a gigantic mistake to close our schools for two years. Our kids suffered and will continue to suffer and no one is talking about this. We need reform in the PA Dept. of Education. They do not even track SAT scores now! How are we supposed to have an objective way to evaluate our schools when crucial test scores like the SAT are not reported? School choice and a Parents' Bill of Rights are the two best ways we can improve the education of all our kids.

How is it possible that these are the four questions that LWV have raised for all candidates? What about taxes? What about the condition of our roads? What about the effect on PA residents of an open border? What about the drug crisis?
