Why are you running for this office? What are your top priorities?

Relevant Experience Town Meeting Member (2020-present); Natural Resources Commission (2021-present/Chair 2023); PTO
I am seeking re-election to the NRC to continue to promote a sustainable and balanced use, preservation, and protection of the Town's parks, recreation and conservation areas.

Over the past three years, I have been actively involved in the Habit to Habitat initiative at Simons Park, a project designed to demonstrate sustainable alternatives to yard care. I also initiated and worked with the NRC, the Playing Fields Task Force, and Recreation Commission to conduct a field utilization study.

Over the next three years, my priorities include: - Continue to promote initiatives such Simons Park that improve Wellesley's resilience - Explore efficient options for addressing active recreation interests while protecting open spaces. - Support the development of a land preservation plan
I am running for the NRC because I believe in the power of public service and have a deep commitment to preserving and enhancing Wellesley’s natural resources. Throughout my years of volunteering in various capacities, such as on the Fiske School Counsel and coaching youth sports teams, I have had the privilege of connecting with many families in our community and hearing their concerns. My top priority on the NRC will be to bring a non-ideological, common sense voice to the discussions about our natural resources. It is critically important to strike a balance between preserving and protecting our environment and addressing the other essential needs of our community. Decisions regarding our natural resources are multifaceted, and I am dedicated to maintaining this delicate equilibrium.
Relevant Experience Wellesley Trails Committee, Wellesley Conservation Land Trust, Mobility Committee, WUSC soccer coach
I am dedicated to public service and the values of the Natural Resources Commission. My years of volunteer experience with the Wellesley Trails Committee, the Mobility Committee, the Wellesley Land Conservation Trust, and youth soccer relate directly to the NRC agenda. I am eager to do more by joining the NRC.

I will be a steady advocate for the NRC’s core mandate: to manage, protect, and preserve our parks, open spaces, tree canopy, and watersheds, and to be a leader of sustainability through stewardship and education. I will encourage the NRC to make natural resources a top priority as the town considers growth and development. I will advance improvements to active recreation areas, including Morses Pond and our athletic fields and courts, in ways that respect our environment.
