I believe the highest priority for the school district is the children in our community. We must provide a welcoming, safe environment for the greatest learning opportunity. This includes excellent educational resources, safe schools, and mental health support. The very stability of our area depends on having an engaged and talented group of kids.
Employee engagement is so important. A huge component of providing an excellent environment is supporting those who support our children daily. Every person is important from the administrative assistant to greet visitors, to school leadership, to those who feed our children, and to those who share their knowledge every day.
Building safety and space. With aging facilities, this is an ongoing concern. Planning today is so important in planning for the future.
Assessing fixed and variable costs and what is reasonable for modification. Understanding school district funding within this state to allow to plan for stability without additional referendums is important.
