1 to elect; 2-yr. termThe President of City Council leads all City Council meetings. They call meetings to order, maintain order and decorum during discussions, and direct the flow of the meeting s agenda. They declare the outcome of votes and decide points of order. They may cast tie-breaking votes. They may appoint members to committees that help the Council function. If the Mayor is unable to perform their duties, the President of Council assumes the role of Acting Mayor.
