If elected, my top priorities will be:
1. Completing the East Side Connector: This critical project will connect Newell Drive to Highway 29 at Paoli Loop, alleviating traffic congestion and providing residents with safer, more efficient transportation options. This is key to supporting smart growth and improving quality of life in our city.
2. Advocating for a Multi-Use Civic Center: I will champion the development of a state-of-the-art facility featuring a gym, meeting rooms, a new pool, and versatile spaces that serve as a hub for community activities, wellness, and recreation. This will enhance our community’s well-being and create a gathering place for all residents.
3. Strengthening Public Safety: I will invest in our police and fire departments to ensure they have the resources and staffing necessary to keep our neighborhoods safe and responsive to emergencies. Safe communities are the foundation of a thriving city.
Born in the Philippines to an American father and Filipina mother, I grew up on U.S. military bases spanning three continents. Even as a high school and college student, I was a natural problem solver, driven to do the right thing by getting involved to improve my communities. Today, as a father and business owner, I'm driven by those same traits—whether helping high-tech clients reach their goals through my boutique communications consultancy I founded (The Oro Group) or serving the wonderful community of American Canyon and the greater Napa Valley.
Since 2005 I've resided in Vintage Ranch with my wife, Patricia,
three children, Mya, Oscar, and Leah, and our dog, Stella. My parents, Tom and Anna Ritchey, are happily retired and are active members of the Holy Family Catholic Parish.
American Canyon needs a Mayor to bring in fresh, experienced leadership to guide our city to a brighter future. Over the years, I have consistently met commitments and achieved results. With extensive experience and strong community relationships, I am ready to build on our strong foundation and momentum.
As your Councilmember and Vice Mayor, I’ve spearheaded efforts to secure a sustainable water future through the Sites Reservoir, supported local businesses, revitalized streets with new bike lanes and walkable neighborhoods, enhanced traffic circulation with the opening of Devlin Road, provided housing for all income levels, expanded our police and fire departments for better public safety, and initiated the development of a town center while improving the Broadway Corridor.
