Yes, I believe that Massachusetts should have same day voter registration. It is important to have as few barriers in front of voting as possible so that people can be represented in their governments. There is little to no evidence that supports voter fraud taking place in Massachusetts.
I would like to see the state tax credit for those purchasing electric vehicles increased so that we mitigate carbon emissions from vehicles on the road. I would also like to see measures to increase public transportation and improve existing infrastructure. Doing this will further decrease the amount of vehicles on the road.
I would like to pass legislation decreasing the minimum square footage required to build homes. Doing this will incentivize construction on smaller lots and allow for more start homes to be built. As the supply of homes increases it will be difficult to continue charging high prices for homes. As large homes become available on the market people will be able to move from their starter homes.
I would like our state legislators to lobby members of the Massachusetts Federal Delegation to pass legislation to hasten the process for immigrants to get work authorization. This will allow for people to get jobs and an income.
I would like to see the MBTA and public transportation shift to green energy sources. I would also like the MBTA to continue to work on reliability issues. When a public transportation network cannot be relied on to be on time people are hesitant to use it to travel to and from work on a daily basis.
