We need leaders who will put people over politics and cut costs for Missouri families. We can do this by investing in early childhood education to help more parents find and afford childcare. We can also cap the cost of prescription medications and eliminate hidden fees on the services and utilities families need. And perhaps most importantly, we can hold corporations accountable when they price gouge consumers. Every family I know – my own included – is still struggling with higher prices on the things we buy every day. Meanwhile, corporations are raking in record profits fueled by unnecessary price hikes. This is wrong and it needs to stop. I was proud to vote NO on the $1 BILLION corporate tax giveaway proposed in the Missouri House this year, because companies that unfairly raise prices on Missouri families should not be rewarded with lavish tax breaks from Jefferson City politicians.
One of the most pressing issues facing the Legislature in 2025 will be restoring reproductive rights. After the Supreme Court overturned Roe, Missouri was the first state to put an extreme abortion ban in place with no exception for victims of rape or incest. This took away freedoms Missourians had had for decades. This November, I believe Missourians will vote to end this dangerous, near-total abortion ban and put protections in place for IVF, birth control, and miscarriage management. I support these Missourians, and I will be voting to end the abortion ban and to restore Missourians’ right to make personal decisions without government interference. I also know that Republicans in the Legislature have a long track record of reversing, undermining, or blocking voter-approved initiatives after they’ve passed. That’s why we need to elect leaders who will respect the will of the voters. I am the only candidate in my race who can be counted on to protect Missourians’ reproductive rights.
