As a lifelong Democrat, I have always followed politics so when The Equal Rights Amendment finally reach the required 38th state to ratify it, and Mitch McConnell said it would never see the light of day because he didn't believe in, I got fired up! So, as brutal as it was that Roe was overturned in June 2022, I knew I had to do more than just vote. In addition the 118th Congress has been the laziest since 1920. We have no Budget, no Farm Bill, no Immigration reform simply because the Maga party wanted to use those issues to campaign on rather than do the job we pay them to do. This is in itself UN American. My opponent, Mark Alford visited Webster County, I asked him why he wasn't bringing jobs to Rural Missouri. Alford responded, "It's not my job." So, while the state of Georgia brought 30,000 well paying jobs and $22.7 Billon into their state, Missouri Republicans feel it isn't their job to help Missourians with jobs and economic issues.
Women's Health care. I would first address the issue that we do not have equal rights in the US Constitution. However, I am completely aware that without a Democratic majority, we can not accomplish complete equality. I firmly believe that if women have equal rights in the constitution we could secure the same rights that men have when dealing with their personal and private health care, equal pay among other issues. I would work tirelessly to advocate across the isle to get this amendment passed and signed into law.
