I hope to represent all of us, being an advocate for a just and fair society. I hope to support everyday people from many different walks of life. I support accessible and quality healthcare for all, including reproductive healthcare. I want to protect our land and natural resources while giving nod to indigenous people. I want to protect public education. I will support agriculture and clean energy. I support a thriving economy that benefits everyone.
I have been a community organizer and volunteer for almost eight years. I am a concerned citizen who wants to make a difference where I live. I have been an advocate for mental health issues for four years.
I believe the most significant issues are protecting public education and uplifting everyday people as rent and the cost of goods and services skyrocket. We cannot allow public education to turn into a system only for the privileged. We need solutions for affordable housing and fair wages.
First, I think this decision should be between the pregnant person and the doctor. Physicians should not be held criminally liable if they are trying to protect the pregnant person's life and must take action. With a staggering amount of OBGYNs leaving the state and maternity wards closing, we can't afford to lose more of them with the threat of criminal liability over their heads for simply treating a patient.
Moving forward in Idaho means creating a better future for all of us. It means that, no matter who you are or where you come from, you deserve to live in an equitable and just society where you can flourish.
