5. What else would you like to tell the voters?

I want to ensure that our public schools are fully funded, particularly in rural areas like our district. I want women in Idaho to be safe and secure during their pregnancies, and be able to make the best choices for themselves and their families. Our district is broad and mostly rural, and I want to enable policies that positively impact those of us living in these communities, whether it be water rights, preserving public land, and ensuring that child care in our communities is accessible and affordable.
I've been the chair of Boise County Democrats for the last several years. I was initially looking to just support them monetarily after hearing several things I didn't like listening to Idaho legislative sessions, but ended up becoming the Chair. Since then I've become a member of the executive committee of the Idaho Democratic Rural Caucus, focusing on our rural issues. I'm also a member of the Idaho Democratic Party Finance Committee, and have helped with the great people working on the Basin School District Levy Committee (definitely a bipartisan group just wanting to do what's best for their kids and community).
We have several issues. The hottest topic is women's health - my wife and I just had our third child, and were able to avoid any complications. Idaho's laws would have put us in an awful position had that not been the case, and I think we need to dial back our statutes there - the propped-up revisioning of the Maternal Mortality Review Committee is another example of that. There is going to be a big push for school vouchers (again) this year, and I want to make sure that our public school tax dollars aren't siphoned off and further deteriorate their funding. I want to make sure that businesses are encouraged to come here, especially in our district, and flourish.
Yes. It almost seems silly that this is an actual question. My wife and I just welcomed our third child into the world at the end of last year. She arrived happy and healthy, but if the situation were different, the last thing I would ever want is the government telling us the choice we had to make on the worst day of our lives.
I would like to say that I am a reasonable person. I was always an independent, voting for the candidate that I thought represented my values, regardless of the letter behind the name. I decided to become a Democrat based upon what I observed in the legislature, and while that may not be the most popular choice in our district, I decided to run to ensure that my children can grow up in the Idaho I grew up in. I love this state and the people in it, and I think we can achieve great things if we're willing to look past party affiliation and work together in the best interest of everyone living here. I would like to focus on real issues and not get dragged into culture war issues, and make all of our lives better.

Work to reduce spending and reliance on Federal money to balance the budget. Remove programs writhin Health and Welfare that taxpayers shouldn’t have to fund Repeal Sales Tax on Food or Repeal Income Tax. This is a more tangible savings to the tax payer
Chairwoman of the Valley County Republican Central Committee. Helping husband run for office and becoming a County Commissioner. A veteran politician might mistake my ambition as misguided due to my inexperience. We all have a first day
