The two areas I focus on are transparency and efficiencies.

For transparency, I have updated the website, improved our social media presence, streamed regular Commission meetings, and hired a Public Information Officer to get information out to the public.

From an efficiency standpoint, I am going through many old contracts looking to update and renegotiate them. I am implementing a centralized procurement process to improve our procurement processes and utilize cooperative purchasing agreements.

I constantly question the status quo and don't accept "we have always done it this way" as an answer.
I have a BA in Finance from Idaho State University and have worked as a financial analyst for JR Simplot, US Robotics, and 3 Com. I have been a small business owner and grew up in a home where my father ran a successful small business for 40 years.

I am an experienced leader with a calm demeanor and an ability to think through problems with a level head.
In Bannock County, we are similar to many other areas in the country with a labor shortage, and rising home prices.

I am actively working with Bannock Development to improve our recruiting and retention of workers and businesses. I am pro-business, so anything we can do to reduce government red tape, I have supported.

This past year we provided leadership training to all department heads in the County. The thinking was if we could make our leaders better, then they could find ways to serve our employees and the taxpayers better.
I am a traditional conservative that believes the role of government is to protect people's rights and provide basic services to help our community grow.

I have been in office for a little over two years now and know how the system works. Our team has created some positive momentum and is headed in a good direction. We don't want to step backward now, it's time to keep moving forward.

I love being a Commissioner and am in the office working every day. I love where we live and my greatest desire is to create a place that our kids will want to come home to.
