Prior to winning the Special Election about two years ago, I served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the Office I currently lead for over 10 years. I bring the experience and ability to continue to build relationships to make Kauai safer and stronger to the challenges we face as a community.
Retaining and training experienced attorneys is critical to keeping the public safe. I also will continue to work with KPD to make sure they know of changes in case law and legal developments. I have focused and will continue to focus resources towards prevention through offering community grants, expanding diversion programs and implementing a robust re-entry program.
We will continue to update the community on important developments in criminal cases as well as actions we are taking to prevent crime. We work to be visible in the community and present when the hard questions are asked.
