I am a wife, mom, teacher, and business owner who cares about keeping Idaho a great place for families to call home. When elected I will be a champion for freedom, education, and low taxes.
Being an involved member of my community has prepared me to represent LD 15. I own a small business in Boise, have children in school, drive on the roads, teach in my church, and walk in the same shoes as many of the voters in district 15. I also have a BS in Education and MBA.
The rapid growth in Idaho is creating challenges in housing, schools, and with transportation. Managing the growth requires those at the table who can think with innovation, listen with an open mind, and plan strategically.
I support the Defense of Life Act. It protects women and physicians from criminal sanctions if a life threatening pregnancy complication occurs requiring treatment that inadvertently harms or even kills a preborn child.
I grew up here in Boise with patriotic parents. My dad was a pilot in the Idaho Air National Guard; my mom was a stay-at-home mom who read the newspaper to me and my brothers at breakfast. Together my parents showed me how special America is and how blessed we are to live in Idaho. Now it is my turn to step up and protect this life I love, and I want for my kids. Bring a public servant is a difficult job, but if it means I get to stand up for freedom and protect this beautiful life, I am all in!

I want to drop the two-thirds supermajority required to pass local school bonds and levies. If we don’t, schools won’t be able to fully take advantage of the money the Legislature made available to help fund facilities.

We need to modify Idaho law so that the HEALTH of the mother is protected when an emergency abortion is needed.

I plan to protect public endowment fund lands for outdoor recreation, watershed conservation, and sensible natural resource development. In some areas, endowment fund lands are in danger of being sold off for private recreation development. I believe we can protect the school endowment fund and keep it growing without selling off public land.

Keeping up with growth. We will need more money for schools, roadways, and other government services. Fortunately, people moving into the state will help support that need through taxing structures already in place. However, I believe we should implement an impact fee for schools in recognition of the burden that rapid growth puts on some districts.

We need to prepare for longer droughts, the infrastructure impacts of climate change, and a potential influx of climate refugees since Idaho is likely to be somewhat less impacted than other areas.

We need to fend off efforts to dilute our already meager funding for public schools by those who would like to see public money go to religious and private schools.
Yes. We need to protect not just women's lives but their health when they find themselves in a medical emergency that may require an abortion. We need to trust mothers, families, and physicians who are in the best position to make an informed decision about a woman's health.
It is the honor of my life to serve in the Idaho State Senate. I appreciate the support voters have given me. I will continue to listen to constituents' concerns so that I can better serve them.
