If I am elected I will work to ensure the freedom of all Idahoans.

I also want to give local communities the tools to deal with the challenges of growth. So I will work to expand transportation and schools to meet our growing needs. I will work in the legislature to support local communities as they innovate to solve the many challenges of growth. This will include funding to decongest roads so we can get where we're going. I also will support efforts to stay out of the way of local governments with innovative ideas to solve their local challenges.

I will work to get the legislature to fully fund schools so that all children can receive a high quality public education.
Recently, I served on the Nampa School Boundary Committee, where along with numerous other neighbors we redrew the boundaries for Nampa Public Schools. In addition I have worked as a substitute teacher. I have worked in a variety of jobs including checking out groceries, setting up plastics machinery, and working in an office. I have also run 2 small businesses. These and other experiences have taught me to work with many different types of people to things done. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from Boise State University.
The greatest challenges facing the state of Idaho right now are managing growth and improving funding for schools.

As we grow we are faced with difficult choices about land use, transportation, affordable housing, and keeping the Idaho way of life. The State Legislature should be standing with and supporting communities as they find innovative solutions to these tough problems. The State Legislature should be providing support for roads and public transportation, where appropriate.

Currently, our schools are not fully funded by the State of Idaho as required under our state constitution, that is why school districts have to beg voters for levies and bonds. Which we fund with property taxes. I would like to change that.
Abortion is a messy business. I believe that women who have been raped should be able to get an abortion without a police report I also believe that women whose pregnancies are in trouble should be able to get an abortion without them or their healthcare provider going to jail. In order to ensure women in these situations are able to get the healthcare they need, abortion should be legal.
In my life I have struggled. My Mother was a single parent of 6 children. She chose to go to college and create a better life for her family. Through her sacrifice I have learned to stick it out, to work hard, and to scrimp to create a better life. I hope to use those skills to make Idaho, and District 13 a better place to live.
