It's important the we put Idaho and in some cases keep Idaho on track. I will work to restore a budgeting process that works and increases transparency while holding agencies accountable to the taxpayer. I will work to properly fund education with an updated funding formula and resources for school facilities I will work to maintain and expand our infrastructure to meet the needs of the taxpayer I will advocate to provide the resources and policy to keep our communities safe including the local jurisdictions I will preserve the freedoms we enjoy and defend against tyranny I will work with others to provide Idaho solutions to Idaho problems

I believe my education and experience are well suited to serve in this office. I previously served in the Senate from 2016 thru 2022. During my tenure I served as the Chairman of the Finance committee, the co-chair of JFAC, Vice Chair of Commerce, Health and Welfare committee, and Judiciary and Rules committee. I have a well rounded understanding of the legislature and its processes to accomplish the goals of our constituents. During my tenure I sponsored 106 bills with a 99% passage rate accomplished through working with other legislators and stakeholders to address the identified problem with the best solution. My education is in Finance and my career has been spent in banking and business ownership.
I see three areas we must address. Public safety both at the state and local level are paramount. Without safety from physical harm or intimidation we lose our freedoms. We must address our education systems through proper funding and accountability that provides our kids the skills and knowledge to succeed in their chosen professions. This should include the education choice options we enjoy in Idaho. Idaho has made a significant financial commitment to maintain and enhance our infrastructure. We must ensure our tax dollars are accomplishing our goals.
I am pro life. Pro life includes both the mother and baby that we should always be kept in mind. I believe it is important to provide policies and law that allow the professionals, in this case doctors and caregivers, to make the proper decisions in consultation with the patient in emergency situations to protect life without fear of violating the law. Practicing law in our emergency rooms does not result in the best patient outcomes.
I represent the people of District 13 and the State of Idaho. I am not beholden to any special interest group that would conflict or jeopardize my ability to represent Nampa and Idaho. During my tenure we reduced income taxes on four occasions providing over $1 billion in tax relief to Idahoans. We reduced regulations by 75% making Idaho the least regulated state in the nation. Idaho was ranked one of the most fiscally sound states in the nation and received the highest bond rating in the nation. Lastly, we implemented measures providing unprecedented financial transparency to the public. This was all done on behalf of the citizens of Idaho. I will continue to work to preserve and improve upon these areas on behalf of Idahoans.

If I am elected I will work to ensure the freedom of all Idahoans.

I also want to give local communities the tools to deal with the challenges of growth. So I will work to expand transportation and schools to meet our growing needs. I will work in the legislature to support local communities as they innovate to solve the many challenges of growth. This will include funding to decongest roads so we can get where we're going. I also will support efforts to stay out of the way of local governments with innovative ideas to solve their local challenges.

I will work to get the legislature to fully fund schools so that all children can receive a high quality public education.
Recently, I served on the Nampa School Boundary Committee, where along with numerous other neighbors we redrew the boundaries for Nampa Public Schools. In addition I have worked as a substitute teacher. I have worked in a variety of jobs including checking out groceries, setting up plastics machinery, and working in an office. I have also run 2 small businesses. These and other experiences have taught me to work with many different types of people to things done. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from Boise State University.
The greatest challenges facing the state of Idaho right now are managing growth and improving funding for schools.

As we grow we are faced with difficult choices about land use, transportation, affordable housing, and keeping the Idaho way of life. The State Legislature should be standing with and supporting communities as they find innovative solutions to these tough problems. The State Legislature should be providing support for roads and public transportation, where appropriate.

Currently, our schools are not fully funded by the State of Idaho as required under our state constitution, that is why school districts have to beg voters for levies and bonds. Which we fund with property taxes. I would like to change that.
Abortion is a messy business. I believe that women who have been raped should be able to get an abortion without a police report I also believe that women whose pregnancies are in trouble should be able to get an abortion without them or their healthcare provider going to jail. In order to ensure women in these situations are able to get the healthcare they need, abortion should be legal.
In my life I have struggled. My Mother was a single parent of 6 children. She chose to go to college and create a better life for her family. Through her sacrifice I have learned to stick it out, to work hard, and to scrimp to create a better life. I hope to use those skills to make Idaho, and District 13 a better place to live.

Please Vote for Sarah Butler on November 5th.

As a member of the Idaho Freedom Caucus, I'm steadfast in my battle for Idaho's people. Our state's dependency on federal dollars has made everyday essentials like groceries and housing unaffordable. As inflation continues to devastate our economy, my focus remains on slashing government spending and championing the rights of Idahoans—not bowing to corporations, lobbyists, or bureaucrats.
I'm the current State Senator
Fiscal transparency remains a critical focus. In 2024, we introduced an innovative budgeting process that differentiates between maintenance budgets—those necessary to keep the lights on—and enhancement budgets, which cover additional expenditures. It's crucial to recognize that state spending inflates the debt balloon in Washington D.C., from which Idaho receives roughly 40% of its funding. If that balloon pops, Idaho risks severe financial repercussions. Moving forward, I'm committed to advancing this clear, accountable approach to managing our funds and aggressively reducing spending to mitigate such risks.
If you're bringing up the idea of legalizing abortion on demand, my stance is a firm no.
During COVID, there was a mass influx of cash into government coffers. Budgets blew up. Corporations, including hospitals, got rich. And people were paid to stay home. But now, with the gravy train coming to an end, all these groups that got used to the fat stacks of government cash are seeing the writing on the wall. So what are they doing? They're working double-time to install legislators who will keep the cash coming. What happens when the money runs out? Taxpayer dollars! This is why they keep trying to pass bills that replace the family with the government. It's woven into dozens of bills. Relying on the government means taxpayers foot the bill. The only thing standing in their way is real conservative fighters. Vote like it on May 21
