I believe it is necessary for South Carolina to expand Medicaid. It was a mistake by the Republican Governor and majorities in the Senate and House of Representatives to send our tax dollars to Washington and not bring them back. If we want to move South Carolina forward, we have to be healthy. This would be a top priority for me.
I am dedicated to striving for a robust economy where every individual has the opportunity for meaningful employment that provides sufficient income to support a family and live with dignity and purpose.

While there isn't a singular solution for job creation, fostering the development of jobs that match necessary skills stands out as a powerful strategy. Success in this endeavor necessitates collaboration and partnership among governments, NGOs, and businesses of various scales.
One key requirement for achieving a more hopeful scenario between development and conservation is cooperation. Making the necessary changes will require breaking out of our usual lanes of conservation, health, development, economics and all the other sectors where we often find ourselves confined.
I have worked extremely closely with librarians and teachers over the last few years to defeat censorship and book banning. Our school administrators, teachers, and librarians are trained professionals and deserve that respect. They should be in charge of determining what books are available in school libraries. If a parent would like to make any book unavailable to their own child they should be able to do that as well. However, I take issue with banning a book for all youth in a school library.

I strongly support Medicaid expansion.
Education and job training are essential to job expansion opportunities. However, often overlooked is the issue of accessibility due to location and lack of infrastructure in rural and economically disadvantaged areas of the state.
South Carolina like other states can no longer ignore the impact of climate change and must plan accordingly when it comes to residential and economic development particularly when it comes to our coastline.
Traditionally this has been the responsibility of local educational authorities or school boards that usually delegates its authority to the professional library staff. I see no reason to further politicize the issue. We need to take the politics out of education.

If elected, I will discuss with the constituents so that I can represent their interests.
Improve infrastructure and work with local schools, including colleges and technical schools to better equip students to become employed with better jobs.
We need to discuss with engineers and scientists to understand what the impact will be so we can develop a plan. There are some plans discussed presently, but i haven't looked into any of them in any depth.
All the stakeholders should work together to determine what best meets the needs of students.
