I have been a resident and business owner for 25yrs and I have the best interests of all Valley Residents. Valley is growing quickly and I want to continue to keep it's small town charm in it's Business District and also to guide it's growth in the needs of our Lake Communities as well. To be transparent in the decision making. I feel including all of our community in decisions being made is important. Having a more diverse City Council with members from every area of our boundaries will help unite us in decision making. Also, allowing residents more time to express their opinions at City Council meetings would let people express concerns about misinformation and how Council members are coming to their decisions.
Our most important challenge is communication. All residents don't use email, Facebook, or the internet, especially our Valley Proper residents, which are mostly senior citizens. That is why there is so much miscommunication. I think a monthly newsletter and an electronic billboard at the entrance by the High School would help. All residents need to be thanksful that Lake communities are here because of the Valley Proper area and the Valley Proper people can be thankful for the lake communities that provide the tax revenue to make improvements to our community. We need to understand each others needs and work together to make our community the best it can be for everyone.

I am deeply committed to Valley and want to help influence the community’s direction, based off the peoples wants and needs. For 15 years I have worked in Mortgage Lending, Commercial Lending, and I am currently working in Treasury Management at Centris Federal Credit Union. Within my career path I have found it extremely fulfilling to help people achieve their financial goals and dreams. Whether it’s small business or a family buying their first home. I have a high level of knowledge when it comes to infrastructure, appraisals, insurance, flood regulations and laws. Although we can’t stop our small town from growing, what we can do is prepare for that growth by focusing on making the right moves that benefits everyone.
With the growth of our town, we need to look at our road infrastructure. Tap into any unused grants that are available to our town that won't raise property taxes. I’m highly interested in playing a role when it comes to negotiating TIF agreements with developers so that our school system can gain additional income. I’m an advocate for the park and want to see it maintain its historical character, as well as add some improvements so that it can continue to be a safe and enjoyable space for all ages. The pool is something I will fight to keep in our community with some creative research and collaboration. Our water is a concern and the city has some events in place to improve it. I will wait to see how this goes and execute a plan after that
