I was a lobbyist for the Hawaii State Teachers Association (HSTA) and the Laborer's Union Trust Fund (LECET) and now I am stepping up to be a public servant for H.D.36 (Waipahu) & the State of Hawaii. I understand how the State Legislature works and now I want to use my experience to serve the people of Waipahu as well as in the State of Hawaii. I want to serve the people in Waipahu as well as in the State of Hawaii and I asked humbling for your vote.
I will stop corruption or the appearance of corruption as a State Legislator by not accepting any bribes in any form. I have always been an honest person and I believe in been transparent as a State Legislator. If and when elected, you are voting on a person's character to be honest. I always believe "honesty is the best policy".
Climate change will always be an important topic and I am willing to learn more about climate change in Hawaii and will work with any organizations on the threats facing Hawaii due to climate change. I am willing to meet with experts in this field to learn more about the threats we have facing Hawaii due to climate change.
The Governor, the State Dept. of Health, and the Covid-19 Liasion, Dr. Josh Green, all did the best they could do to fight the Covid-19 crisis in Hawaii. It was a rough time for everyone, individuals, businesses, etc. everyone suffered because of the Covid-19 pandemic. I agree with the approach the State is following because after almost 2 1/2 years of Covid-19, we have learned a lot about Covid-19. People should get vaccinated to protect themselves and the most vulnerable are the people with underlying health conditions. Even if they are fully vaccinated, Covid-19 is a killer.
