How would you stop corruption or the appearance of corruption as a State Legislator?

Most of my career has been with compliance to FAA Regulations, and Vendor and Internal Processes and Procedures. Understanding and knowledge of these promotes success and safety. Revising/creating new processes are necessary to improve work flow, contracts, and other impact issues. I facilitated and collaborated on numerous reviews, research, and outcomes to reach a desired end. My goal was/is public safety.

My decision to run came as a result of failed laws that did not protect the people, both young and older. The rising cost of living and the unending uptick in taxes are crippling the economy and hurting the people of Hawaii. We need common sense laws that work for the people.
Transparency and accountability are key to address the corruption. Publicly having open floor discussions from beginning to end of any proposed bills through its completion would undermine possible corruption from taking place. When constituents are allowed to listen in and voice concerns from the inception of a bill through its completion it would allow their voices to be heard and dialogue to take place. Always remembering that we work for "we the people" and not special interests groups or self interests will go a long way in gaining public trust.

The immediate response is one I supported, but the continued mandates beyond the first six months should have been reviewed. As other states began to listen to science and started to reopen, the impact to families, businesses, and overall health improved. Scientists stated that taking health supplements and regular exercise could decrease the risk of Covid-19, along with practicing good hygiene and sun exposure. Scientists provided information of prescription medications to help combat the impact to infected individuals. Hawaii government needs to perform periodic reviews and allow other views that are contrary to their own thoughts and feelings.
