Community/Public Service Over thirty years of being on Public and AcademicBoards.
1. The City has begun a Crime and Safety initiative that will review what we do well and what our resident would like to see us do better. Safety is most important to us. 2. We are very aware that changing weather patterns and increased construction have created water problems throughout the City, they are not new but need our attention more than ever. 3. We believe maintaining our City means making certain that all residents have a chance to meet and know each other and to participate. Our Community Engagement Committee, begun by energetic young residents is doing just that with a series of events aimed at building community and concern for neighbors
It has been an honor to serve my Community for the past 12 years. I enjoy government and public service. As a journalist, I was elected to the Foreign press association of London, and am presently Honorary Consul for Slovenia in the Midwest of the USA. I Have had my own radio show and wrote for local and national publications for several years. We have only single family housing and are market driven.
• What do you believe is the ideal relationship between your city and the state government? We are a non partisan City Council and function for the good of the residents. Not for a political party. I wish the State worked the the same way.
