Preparing for bad weather and flooding is a priority especially for those sections that are below base flood elevation. We should also study and propose expanded plans to help the many members of our community that are out walking, running, biking and walking their dogs and sometimes find themselves in an unsafe situation.
It would be good to do special outreach to the new families moving into El Lago, so as to build a stronger community. We should welcome them and include them in our community activities.
Our first priority should be to deal with bad weather and flooding mitigation. The second would be a possible dog park. The third would be improved sidewalks and bike lanes.

Vehicles observing our 20 mph speed limit. Working with WCID50 on flood mitigation. Providing city services with our current budget. It’s wonderful seeing families, kids, neighbors, walking, riding bikes to school, going to the park or pool. That’s what a great “home town” is all about. I’d like everyone to drive carefully and at the posted speed limits, to keep our children and families safe
Bring back city events when it’s safe to do so.

It’s also important to be mindful of our city budget and be sure we take care of the city amenities and responsibilities with the resources we have. My goal is to simply preserve the kid-friendly environment we have created here in the wonderful city of El Lago.
I’d focus on city services: recycling programs, street maintenance, park maintenance, additional playground equipment, proper funding of fire and police departments. Any additional funds would be utilized to address potential flooding issues.
