Born and raised in Bucks County, I have lived in Ivyland with my husband and two children for almost 10 years. We were immediately drawn to the close-knit community and friendly feel of the neighborhood. Ivyland was the place where we wanted to raise our family. From a very young age, I was taught the importance of service to the community. I am running for this office to finish what I started when I was first elected four years ago with overwhelming bipartisan support. Ivyland Borough is special place, steeped in a rich history; we will soon be celebrating the 150th anniversary of our wonderful borough. Historic traditions are our community’s backbone. We have a board that understands the importance of honoring history while making necessary improvements to keep us a flourishing borough well into our next 150 years. Municipal government is really about directly helping your neighbors and your community. I want to be that person for our community and continue to be part of this team.
Our borough has a number of long-term improvements which we must pursue, such as land/park development. We must be good stewards of the taxpayers’ dollars with which we have been entrusted. Every dollar must be maximized as we deal with these long-term improvements. This will be done with a combination of careful planning, grant monies, and sensible use of capital improvement funds. Working in government administration for my career at the county, state, and federal levels has given me the necessary legal, financial, and operational knowledge to best serve our community. I will be able to use that experience to help council efficiently deliver those needed improvements while being mindful of our budget and bottom line.
