Candidate for Re-Election
Wellesley Board of Assessors, 9 years; represented parties to innumerable real estate transactions
I am seeking re-election to a 4th 3-year term on the Board of Assessors. The work of the Board is fairly predictable and consistent from year to year: receive and act upon tax abatement petitions, represent the Town in Appellate Tax Board cases, update and maintain information about thousands of properties, obtain Department of Revenue certification of property values, consider tax exemption requests. I have experience preparing and reviewing real estate contracts and instruments, and litigating real estate cases. My training and experience enable me to provide useful advice when deliberating with the rest of the Board. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Town where I grew up.
