Recreation Commission - 3 Year Term
Five residents are elected as Recreation Commissioners for staggered three year terms. The Commission appoints a Superintendent of Recreation to manage the daily affairs of the department. The Commission is charged with promoting the recreation, play, sport, physical education and other programs to meet the leisure needs of the community. The Commission also makes long range recommendations to the town for recreational facilities and playgrounds. The Commission manages Morses Pond Beach. The Commission meets monthly and at other times at required.

1 believe in Importance or recreation, both active and more passive, for all people regardless of age or economic circumstance
2 top priorities: offering diverse programming; maintaining safe programs; supporting camp scholarships for those in need; maintaining Morse’s Pond as a townwide asset.
