I was a Township Trustee in Ewing Township in Upper Michigan for 20 years. I retired when I moved to Concord in November 2018. After learning that the Trustee position was open, I felt I could be helpful in that position in Pulaski Township. I believe my previous experience would be an asset to a new board. My husband and I lived in Upper Michigan from 1994 thru 2018. We were both born and raised in Jackson County up to that time. As time went by we made the choice to move back home to be closer to family and friends.

The current community center could be considered for a community/Senior center which could address many issues of people with economic challenges. At that center there could be assistance with tax preparation, mid-day meals, crafts, activities, monthly food distribution. A local center would be an asset to the community. There are many resources available for these things but they are not close to Pulaski. Spring Arbor, community center, Region 2 Area Agency on Aging (AAA) in Brooklyn or Jackson Co Department on Aging are very good for economically challenged but, for some, may be difficult to get to. Exploring this option is something that would benefit the area. Also exploring options for grants for a Director position. Most of these centers use volunteers.

I have worked in the dental field for 22yrs and have come to learn that being open minded is a must in this world. In my time as an office manager, I have had numerous trainings in problem solving and feel that I could use my skills to assist in any issues at hand. I have also wrote and received grants for Pulaski Township Fire Department.

As a mother of 2 children in our school districts, I am overwhelmed by the support they have giving our students with distant learning and also making sure that children do not go hungry. If I am elected, I would like to help to continue this process.
I believe our whole community is open minded and kind hearted to all of our residents. Any issues that arise in our community I believe we can come together and solve open mindedly. That is why I am proud to live in Pulaski!
As a current firefighter myself, I feel that being a Trustee on the board will help with any issues that arise regarding the Fire Department.
