Hoosiers have lived under an unchecked supermajority for too long, and it has led to extreme and unpopular laws. I will work to defeat and amend copycat legislation from other states and special interest groups that threaten the rights of Hoosiers.

I am in favor of term limits to guardrail against the personal interests of career politicians in the state legislature. As far as the term limit amount is concerned, I agree with those states with limits somewhere between six to 12 years in office.

I will bring back common sense, compassion, and empathy to our state government. My priorities are reproductive rights, the protection of same-sex marriage, and promoting inclusion.

I rate this as a 4.5 There are some initiatives to promote renewable resources; however, the air and water quality in Indiana is under satisfactory. As development is happening in rural and farming areas, water sources are being exhausted as additional impact for our communities.
Central Indiana is a destination for events and tourism. Hamilton County is also poised to have impressive growth in population and industry over the next several years. As the House Representative for District 29, I will promote strong schools, an inclusive and diverse environment, and a prepared workforce to build the economy. Promoting initiatives for local food development sources can provide affordable food to local communities and boost the agriculture market in rural communities.
I rate this a 4. I believe a partnership with employers should also promote improved healthcare access. Forbes Advisor (2023) ranked Indiana as the 10th-worst state for health care because of high costs and poor outcomes. We must do better in expanding coverage due to the cost of coverage. Blocking some of the hospital groups from merging and eliminating competition would promote cost savings and expand access to many Hoosiers.
Abortion and contraception access is a female right to choose.

I rate this a 5. One of my priorities is to promote pre-K public education. Getting children prepared in pre-K to adjust to the learning in K-12 leads to success in outcomes for students. Each dollar invested in pre-K ends up returning $3-5 to the community.
I believe that there should be automatic voter registration for all eligible citizens to increase access. The requirement for an ID is reasonable for in-person voting and mailed ballots should have signature matching and confirming identification included.

Gun violence and suicide by firearms are issues that Indiana legislature can attempt to address. I am for background checks on gun purchases, training on gun safety, and a form of voluntary temporary gun storage (for those who may be in a mental health crisis) without the stigma of a court process to retrieve your guns.
