It estimates that the new tax will generate approximately $20,000 annually. The new revenue will be used to pay for police services from the North County Police Cooperative and to hire a staff person to work with residents to enforce the residential code and deal with problem properties.Supporters say that better code enforcement, enforcing the trash service requirement, and working with owners to maintain their properties will raise property values and improve the quality of life in Pine Lawn.
