Broadview Heights Tax Levy (additional) for parks and recreation

Issue 9 on the ballot. Ballot language: An additional tax for the benefit of the City of Broadview Heights for the purpose of parks and recreation, at a rate not exceeding 0.7 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to 7 cents for each $100 of valuation, for fifteen years, commencing in 2018, first due in calendar year 2019.A YES vote approves the additional property tax levy.A NO vote is against the additional property tax levy.A majority affirmative vote is required for passage.LEAGUE EXPLANATION: This is an additional 0.7 mill levy to help pay for operations at the expanded Recreation Center. It would increase the annual property tax on a $100,000 home by $24.50 and would be in place for 15 years starting in 2019.
