Issue 48 on the ballot.Ballot language: A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the City of Strongsville for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, and renovating storm sewers and storm drainage ditches at a rate not exceeding 0.4 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to 4 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2018, first due in calendar year 2019.A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage.LEAGUE EXPLANATION: This is a renewal of a 0.4 mill five-year sewer levy. It covers a large percentage of annual sewer improvement costs. It costs the owner of a $200,000 home $23.83 per year.
