I first moved to Rochester Hills in 2001, and chose to again locate within the City in 2004. I am a 23-year attorney specializing in municipal and property tax law, after graduating from the University of Michigan with Honors in 1992, and Wayne State University Law School in 1995. My experience gives me the ability to truly serve Rochester Hills residents with the level of professional excellence they deserve. I am also a hockey mom, little league baseball fan, and wife of 14 years to my husband, Todd.
My community Involvement includes: 2007-2015 - City of Rochester Hills Brownfield Redevelopment Authority; 2013-present - City of Rochester Hills City Council and Avondale Youth Assistance Board of Director; 2015-present – City of Rochester Hills City Council Vice President and Planning Commission Member, Older Person's Commission (OPC) Board of Directors, Rochester Hills Museum Foundation Board; 2017-present - Michigan Municipal League Finance Committee; Former 2-term HOA president.
Development Concerns: On Planning Commission, the concerns of residents must be represented to minimize the impact of new development on residents. In District 1, traffic concerns on Adams Road continues, and requires thoughtful and deliberate planning.
Maintaining Quality of Life: As a member of the Older Persons’ Commission (OPC) Board of Directors, and its Finance Committee, I have initiated changes in the manner in which OPC funds are held, so that they are more secure in order to ensure the OPC exists for years to come and continue to provide services to our community. Additionally, though the development of Rochester Hills’ Innovation Hills Park continues, I will also work with the city to develop underutilized parks in northwest sector of the City to provide a better quality of life and walk-able options for residents in those areas.
Professionalism and Conservative Fiscal Spending: Council should be prepared for meetings and question spending. This promotes timely action by Council, and thoughtful decisions on finances that may effect the City for years.
