Experience (300 characters max) As a general contractor, Ricky has done everything from building custom homes to remodeling entire residences. Currently he maintains buildings in downtown Poulsbo keeping them leak proof and structurally safe. His resume also includes working with Bill Austin assisting him with downtown projects.
The reasons why I decided to run for office are to listen to people’s concerns, have a hands-on approach to finding a solution for them, open more parking for local shoppers downtown and prepare Poulsbo the proper way for future growth. Our beautiful city does not need to be a population of 20,000 people in five, seven years!
The three major issues facing this city are: congestion, infrastructure and the moral of the workers that keep it up and running.
The most critical is congestion.
My commitment to senior citizens are to respect them and keep the taxes that are imposed now to the very lowest. Doing this will help them live out their lives burden free in this beautiful city.
We should keep personal feelings and thoughts out of the fraction and follow the laws that are set forth by government. Everyone should respect those laws.
The major issue surrounding our city’s infrastructure is failure! There are to many what ifs involved.
We should embrace the communities homeless and do what we can to help. To start we can look into programs they could enroll in that assist with food and shelter needs. We can also help get them into programs with goal to higher their education, become drug free, find long term jobs and help with travel needs they may need to and from. logo
