The City Council is the legislative body for the City. The Council adopts local laws (ordinances) to secure the safety and assist the well-being of the city residents, the city's physical environment and amenities, and the city economy. The Council is responsible for approving financial expenditures and adopting the city budget as well as establishing policies and regulations in order to guide the city's future. The elected mayor serves as chief administrative officer for the city.

We need street repairs and not just on the main through fairs but in the parts of the city where most of the people live up grade and expansion of water and sewer systems. We need to do away with private wells and septic systems inside the city limits Expand our air local airport Help clean up the houses inside the city limits that are in a state of disrepair Improve our water front properties Try and get some low income housing in Kelso fro the seniors and veterans
Homelessness is a way of life with some people and they will not change no matter what you do for them. For those that truly want help we need to contact some of the rental property owners in town and try to work with them to lower rents for a period of time so people can get back on their feet again(maybe in the form of tax breaks)
Get better and faster transportation for those that are in need of rides to medical offices and local stores for supplies Set up a fund for the senior center so they can upgrade and make the center a better place to go and for other groups to use
Legal immigration is not a big problem Illegal immigration is the problem,Illegals are not paying taxes on money for the jobs they do under the table while taking our welfare systems money that could be help the seniors, veterans and legal immigrants. Our city should use the E Verification system when hiring and require all companies that do business with the city to use it also
Getting more home ownership in town instead of out of town property owners Use the I-5 corridor to attract more business locally Expand the local airport Stop using Kelso as a Methadone outlet for drug addicts

I have a good relationship with both the mayor and city manager. We have talked out of council about many different things concerning the welfare of Kelso and its citizens I do not agree with everything they say and will not be a yes man
