Hanover Township analyzes the road infrastructure needs every year and works through the Butler County Engineer's Office to take advantage of economies of scale-lower pricing through through county wide contracts. Road infrastructure work is determined by the condition of roads and drainage systems impacting the right of way as well as traffic e needs. Every year the Township devotes $250,000 to $350,000 of its budget to infrastructure improvements. In 2017 base repair work and black mat coating
The Hanover Township Land Use Citizens Committee meets periodically and was the group that conducted the last thorough update of the Township's Land Use Plan in 2008. The plan is still accurate and serves as a strategic planning document for future growth. At this time there are no substantial changes that are required. The Plan remains a key element in the Townships efforts to "Grow Toward the Future."
