Experience (300 characters max) Many years experience in the development of properties demanding budgeting, management and scheduling, zoning and permitting knowledge and skills. These skills are valuable in meeting the responsibilities of a city council member. 12 years as Board Commissioner of Metro Park Dist. Tacoma.
Economic growth, population density, heavy traffic environment and maintaining school capacity consistent with growth.
Gig Harbor needs a liaison to work with and learn from neighboring communities dealing with homeless populations so we have adequate referral services available.
I am one and support them fully!
It appears appropriate to leave issues of immigration, including vetting, to the federal government whose employees are trained in these complicated issues.
Parking in downtown Gig Harbor and transparency in government.
It is hard to pick one as some are so related. However, to tie an answer to just one, I would identify Infrastructure Planning that will address Population Density and Traffic Congestion. With infrastructure planning in place, it can then be used to manage the other two while maintaining economic growth so necessary to infrastructure implementation.
I believe personal contact - face to face discussion - is the most effective means of communication with both government and the citizenry we represent. Beyond personal interface, timely and effective governmental notices and social media identified as acceptable within city government will likely be necessary. logo
