What motivated you to run for election and what personal skills do you bring to the Township?

What do you see as the single greatest challenge for residents in your township and how do you propose to meet that challenge?

What are your hopes for the future of your Township?

Orange Township is a great family-oriented community and we couldn’t be prouder to call it home. Our family has been surrounded by so many extraordinary people and has made many friends here. As a father, husband, and veteran, I have a commitment to service, leadership and community and I believe these life experiences help me better serve my constituents. From coaching sports to volunteering time to community events, I am passionate about investing in Orange Township and keeping it the strong community we love. This community is very important to me and I’m working hard to ensure its continued growth and stability. I am proud that we have a financially stable township with exceptional safety services and amenities. As Township Trustee, I believe residents have found that I am an approachable person who listens to their concerns and that I will work my hardest to find a solution. I would like the opportunity to continue to build upon the solid foundation we have created together.
Listening to residents, people want to see Orange Township remain the strong and vibrant community we love. I often hear we need to manage growth effectively while maintaining a sense of community and improving infrastructure to alleviate traffic. We are in the process of refreshing the Comprehensive Land Use Plan with input from residents to help layout future growth. We have a 5-year road maintenance plan to aggressively fix neighborhood roads. I initiated the investigation into an underpass on Orange Rd to bypass the tracks and we are in communication with the county about adding the Big Walnut interchange to I-71. Further, taxes are always top of mind as is the need to ensure that the Township's budget is managed efficiently. As Township Trustee, I am vigilant in ensuring we are as efficient as possible with taxpayer’s money. We continue to follow up on grants, work with other entities to find ways to share services, and utilize internal resources to its maximum ability.
My hopes for the future of the township is to continue to be the leader in Delaware County. Orange Township was named the 5th best place to live in Ohio in 2016 by Niche. We have done a lot of work already to lay that foundation and I want to continue to work to make Orange Township the best community in Ohio.
I believe new energy and a fresh perspective is needed to move Orange Township forward. We have many talented individuals in the area ready to serve as the next generation of local leaders. I hope to be the one who begins this transition of change.

I have been very involved in the community since opening my business in 2010.  In that time, I have developed many valuable relationships throughout the Township and County. As a small business owner, I wear many hats. Because of my experience in my business and in the community, I bring many skills to the Township, including relationship building, marketing, team building, planning, financial management, and customer service.
Inadequate diversification of our tax base. With escalating costs every-where you look, this could continue to escalate the tax burden on our residents/homeowners. I am committed to lessening the tax burden on them as much as possible. We need a new strategic approach to development with a focus on attracting appropriate commercial investment. This includes improvements to our infrastructure, with some costs borne by the developers, as well as an updated zoning process that will encourage investment while addressing problems such as traffic congestion.
My vision includes Orange Township having a very favorable Community Identity, or brand, like you find in areas such as New Albany, Dublin, and Worthington. The area has seen a boom but still lacks name recognition and awareness. This identity will include a well-managed Township with continued excellence in our schools, solid infrastructure, and an ability to attract appropriate commercial investment while continuing to provide all of the amenities that make Orange Township a great place to live and to work.
