Why are you running for this position?

I’m running for County Commission because our community deserves leadership focused on results, not rhetoric. As a parent, neighbor, PTO President-Elect and HOA board member, I’ve seen how local decisions impact daily life. In 2022, when school safety pass-through funds were withheld, I began paying close attention. That moment made it clear we need leadership that puts people over politics. I’m committed to moving past infighting, supporting schools and essential services, and working collaboratively to get things done. Our community deserves solutions, not sides, and I’m ready to bring practical, transparent leadership to District 12.

What are 2-3 priority issues facing your district or Sumner County and how would you address them?

The top issues facing our county are rapid growth and the funding of essential services. Growth must be managed responsibly so infrastructure, roads, and schools can keep pace. I will support thoughtful planning and collaboration to ensure development strengthens our community without overwhelming it. At the same time, we must prioritize consistent funding for essential services like schools, public safety, and water access. These should never be caught in political disputes. I will advocate for responsible budgeting that keeps our community safe, supports families, and prepares us for the future.

What are your priorities when making decisions about county budgeting and growth?

When making decisions about county budgeting and growth, my priority is ensuring all parts of our county have access to the resources they truly need. Fairness doesn’t mean every area gets the same thing. It means recognizing that different communities have different needs and investing accordingly. Holding one area back to benefit another isn’t a sustainable solution. Instead, we should focus on smart, targeted investments through responsible budgeting, grants, and partnerships. Our community deserves solutions, not sides, and that means making thoughtful decisions that move the entire county forward.
