Why are you running for this position?
I’m running for Sumner County Commission to bring common sense leadership, transparency, and responsible growth to our community. As a husband, father, and local professional, I drive the same roads, rely on the same schools, and depend on the same public safety services as every resident. I am not a career politician, but someone who wants to step up and serve. I believe our county government should be accountable, responsive, and focused on real results. I want to ensure decisions are made with long term impacts in mind so Sumner County remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family for years to come.
What are 2-3 priority issues facing your district or Sumner County and how would you address them?
Sumner County is experiencing rapid growth, which brings challenges with infrastructure, public safety, and planning. Roads, schools, and services must keep pace with residential, commercial, and retail development. I support a more coordinated approach with cities and state leaders to ensure growth is well planned and sustainable. Public safety is also critical. I strongly support our Sheriff’s Office, School Resource Officers, and volunteer fire departments and will advocate for the funding and resources they need. Addressing these issues requires thoughtful planning, collaboration, and a commitment to long term solutions.
What are your priorities when making decisions about county budgeting and growth?
My top priority is responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars while planning for the future. Budget decisions should focus on core services like public safety, schools, and infrastructure while avoiding unnecessary spending. Growth must be managed thoughtfully, with infrastructure planned alongside development so existing residents are not left behind. I believe in data driven decisions, transparency, and accountability in how funds are allocated. Every dollar should be evaluated for its impact on the community. My goal is to balance fiscal responsibility with smart investments that keep Sumner County strong and sustainable for future generations.
