Why are you running for this position?
I am running for this position because our elected officials have continued to make decisions that are not in the best interest of the residents of the county.
What are 2-3 priority issues facing your district or Sumner County and how would you address them?
The priorities in Sumner county are the lack of cooperation between city commissions and the county commission and the unchecked growth of the cities. I believe that by fostering a working relationship between the city and county, then the growth of the county can be planned in a way that benefits the current and future residents.
What are your priorities when making decisions about county budgeting and growth?
My priorities for budgeting and growth is to reduce the need to increase property taxes. This includes working with local governments to manage growth. If growth remains unchecked at the city level, then county taxes will need to be increased.
