What professional and personal experiences make you the best candidate for this position?

I have always been active in politics, but the last six years inspired me to become much more involved. As we watched many of our freedoms come under attack, I knew I had to act. Along with others, I helped establish a group called East Tennessee Freedom. We interview candidates, encourage them to study the Constitution, and ask tough questions to ensure they are committed to defending both the U.S. and Tennessee Constitutions. Guided by our faith in God, we remain dedicated to protecting the freedoms that make our nation strong and preserving those liberties for future generations.

What are the most pressing issues in the office you are seeking, and how do you plan to address them?

One of the greatest challenges facing our Republican Party is removing unnecessary barriers for lifelong Republicans who want to serve. Too often, committed conservatives are prevented from running as Republicans because they missed a primary election, despite sharing our values. We need fair, consistent bylaws that protect election integrity while encouraging participation. I also believe the State Executive Committee must become more visible and accountable. An SEC member should actively listen to constituents, communicate their concerns to party leadership, and report back with results. The position should be about serving the people of Sullivan and Hawkins Counties—not simply attending meetings and party events.

What professional and personal experiences make you the best candidate for this position?

Having worked in the non-profit sector with volunteers and small business owners for the last 16 years, I am passionate about my belief that everyone deserves a voice in how their local and state government operates. I know how to advocate with community leaders, how to assess needs, and ascertain best avenues of assistance. I will work to assist the Hawkins County and Sullivan County local parties to recruit and support candidates that understand the challenges facing the working class in our state.

What are the most pressing issues in the office you are seeking, and how do you plan to address them?

When you vote for a State Executive Committee position, you are voting for the individuals who are going to guide the TNDP for the next four years. You need to be able to trust that the people you elect will be committed to transparency, will lead with ethics, and will make decisions that are for the overall good of the party. This is a critical time for the TNDP. We must have leaders that will listen, learn, and be dedicated to advocating for the people that they represent. We need state party leadership that will make identifying and recruiting qualified Democratic candidates for local and state elections priority #1!
