What professional and personal experiences make you the best candidate for this position?
Just starting to pay attention to TN politics in 2012 when I observed the significant changes in legislative policy. I was asked to run for the TNDP State Executive Committee. I have served in that position since 2014. This position allowed me to immerse myself in state politics and observe the steady increase in just plain hateful and illegal legislation from the super majority. I have volunteered for many different causes. While volunteering as treasurer for our local farmers market I instituted the SNAP program at that market after seeing a need.
What are the most pressing issues in the office you are seeking, and how do you plan to address them?
Eliminating the grocery tax by taxing corporations. Funding our public schools by eliminating vouchers. Expanding Medicaid by accepting the federal funds specifically for that purpose. Feeding school children by accepting the federal funds for that purpose.
