State Executive Committeewoman, District 19 Choose 1
Organization of the party begins with the state executive committee of each political party, since it also functions as the state primary board for the party. T.C.A. § 2-13-102. Members of this committee are elected in the regular August primary election immediately prior to the election for governor. One man and one woman from each party are elected from every senatorial district to serve four-year terms beginning on September 15 following their election. They must take the oath of office, filing it with the state coordinator of elections. T.C.A. § 2-13-103.The state executive committee is to meet at least once in even-numbered years to appoint the county primary boards, made up of five people from each county appointed for two year terms. T.C.A. § 2-13-108. The members of this board are chosen from a list of names submitted by county executive committees, although two of the members may be appointed without regard to the lists if the names on them are not fairly divided among the elements of the party. If no list is submitted, the state primary board is to draw up its own list from which to make appointments, or it may designate the county election commission to act as the county primary board. T.C.A. § 2-13-110.

Please describe your interest in this role.
In 2023, I ran my first race and lost. That loss clarified something: this was never about one race, or even about me. It's about the long game of building power, supporting our communities and leaders, and strengthening the Democratic Party. I've kept doing that work as Senior Advisor for Outreach & Scheduling in Mayor Cooper's office, Senior Advisor on the "How Nashville Moves" transportation campaign, and Vice President of the Davidson County Democratic Women. Executive Committeewoman is where that experience belongs: building the infrastructure that makes every future race winnable. Protecting democracy doesn't happen every two years, it happens every day, and I'm ready to grind.
If selected, what actions will you take to help empower voters?
My career has been about connecting people and institutions: leading outreach for Mayor Cooper's office, advising the "How Nashville Moves" referendum campaign, chairing Mayor O'Connell's Minority Business Advisory Council, and serving as Advocacy Chair for the YWCA of Nashville & Middle TN. As Executive Committeewoman, I'd bring that same coalition-building to voters: clear, timely information on registration deadlines and polling access; a reliable volunteer bench for canvassing, phone banking, and poll monitoring; and direct partnerships with the nonprofits, cultural communities, and small businesses District 19 already trusts. Empowering voters means meeting them where they are.
Have you previously held an elected office? If so, which office?
No, I have not held elected office. My path here runs through campaign and civic work: Senior Advisor in Mayor Cooper's office, Senior Advisor on the "How Nashville Moves" transportation campaign, Vice President of the Davidson County Democratic Women, a 2023 Emerge Tennessee alum, and currently serving on Mayor Freddie O'Connell's re-election campaign. Each of those roles taught me how to organize, build coalitions, and turn commitment into results. Executive Committeewoman is the next step: taking that experience and putting it directly to work building power for District 19.
